Our first time to Kalkan. What a beautiful place. A memorable time was had by all. Trio Restaurant was easily the best in town. Food fabulous, staff efficient and friendly. Previous posts suggested prices on the harbour were more expensive than elsewhere, however, we found that all the restaurants charged very similar prices, therefore we visited Trio Restaurant several times as the food was far superior than the others we tried. As for their cocktails, WOW! The Trio version of a Bellini is to die for!

My partner and I had a lovely week in Kalkan and visited Trio more than once because of the fantastic service we received in thisbeautiful harbourside setting. Nothing was too much trouble for the efficient and attentive (but unobtrusive) waiting staff. The menu was extensive and the food will appeal to both meat-eating fans and vegetarians alike as there is soooooo much choice! I had the seafood casserole for a starter one night but then couldn't finish my main course of steak and blue cheese sauce....so I had it as a main course on the next visit! The Trio borek, calamari, seafood casserole, aubergine and pastrami bake, the grouper and samphire casserole, the lamb kavurma, sultans and summertime lamb dishes were all excellent. We liked the Lal Rose wine and enjoyed a Mojito or two as they had been recommended in a previous post and lived up to the hype. There is a pleasant and comfortable separate bar area which was well populated by couples having a romantic evening and a meeting point for groups of friends to meet up. Actually, just stopping by for a coffee before our boat trip one morning was lovely as Trio is positioned right on the harbour. This restaurant has a very good reputation within the town amongst tourists and tour reps, which is justifiably deserved, and will be endorsed by us. Admittedly, an evening here is a treat in terms of the holiday budget....but that's what holidays are for, aren't they?! We will definitely return next year.

I've been going to Trio restaurant since it opened and the quality of the food and service just keeps getting better and better! I last was there a few weeks ago when there were 8 of us for dinner. All of us ordered a different main course and all of them arrived at the same time and were perfect! We didn't have starters as the complimentary bread and olives was enough for us. We were drinking spirits not wine, and the bill worked out around 40TL each, so pretty good value! It's also a perfect daytime spot for a coffee pre a boat trip or a cold drink after your boat trip! See you next year Trio! Lynn
